About The Diary Series
I started forcing myself to draw every day about 15 years ago—no matter if the work was good or bad—just to get my thoughts out through a pen, or whatever I could find. My father told me to do this when I was 16, and I finally adapted it in college. The Diary Series reflects that daily practice. Each piece has its own story, sometimes a study for a bigger project, sometimes just an idea I needed to explore, and sometimes for absolutely no reason at all.
These sketches offer a glimpse into my mind, showing how my work has evolved over time while keeping the same raw feeling. Over 2,000 of these drawings have been produced, though only a few have been given away—mostly to close friends, clients, and strangers who’ve influenced or helped me along the way. From a little old lady sitting at a bar who shared the secret to life, to a flight attendant who made me laugh when I needed it most, these pieces are more than just drawings—they are precious memories of my life: the good, the bad, and everything in between.
